One of the most interesting bikes at the exhibition. Only a few track bikes Morati were produced, more like prototypes. Gear Case Co. Speedwell was founded in 1897 as a sheet metal fabricator, becoming adept at all sorts of metal work for many industries including automotive & aircraft. They were one of the earliest successful fabricators of Titanium motorcycle and bicycle frames and made a beautiful, if not commercially successful, product. Made of commercially pure titanium, Speedwell frames were extensively hand worked, with filed & smoothed joints throughout. The fork was made of Titanium as well. The frame, fork and steering bearings was alleged to weigh in at 4 lb. 1 oz., but other reports say that is an exaggeration.
Designers and brothers Filip and Lukáš Houdek are constantly on the move. In their work, creation and personal lives. The exhibition presents the work of two prominent figures in contemporary Czech glass design. Their joint work moves on the border between design, free art and technical experiment. At the exhibition you will see unique objects influenced by automotive design (e.g. A graduate of the Glass School in Kamenický Šenov and the Technical College in Nový Bor, the founder of HG Atelier Design, has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Louis Vuitton, Moser, Baccarat, etc. He creates design collections and free objects under the brands HG Atelier, HOUDEK.ART, GLASSBROTHERS. He is a co-organizer of the Speed Art section at the Speed Festival. He graduated from the Glass Studio at the UMPRUM with Rony Plesl. After working at the Moser company, he devoted himself to his own work and a joint studio with his brother Filip.

The attic is already open and the total number of exhibits - bicycles - on display is approaching 300 pieces. New bicycle museum was opened in Moravia in the Czech republic during summer 2015. After solo projects, Filip and Lukáš, also known as Glassbrothers, got to the point where they created a common, unique identity HOUDEK.ART with their own manuscripts. Now they have changed the concept of their studio HG Atelier Design s.r.o. Together they create and present their unique pieces of art inspired by various themes. The bicycle is a perfectly designed piece of sports equipment, means of transport and leisure activity. We have Karl Drais to thank for it; his two-wheeled “draisienne” was first unveiled on the 12th of June 1817. At first it was seen as a fun leisure activity, but it soon began to be used as a mode of transport, which then led, almost naturally, to racing.

The first recorded velocipede race, on bikes with cranks and pedals on the shaft of the front wooden wheel (with spokes), took place in France on the 8th of December 1867. The winner completed the 17-kilometre course from Paris to Versailles in one hour. The first race to be held in the Czech lands took place in Kutná Hora on the 8th of August 1869. Subsequent chapters in Czech cycling history were written by famous (and long forgotten) manufacturers, riders, trainers, managers, businessmen, mechanics, functionaries and journalists. The Favorit factory in Rokycany played a particularly exceptional role. Its roots, development, humble beginnings, growth, mishaps and decline is a fascinating story, but about which there are relatively few documents or written reports. Former factory employees and racing cyclists are the main source of information, and although their memories may be clouded by time, their recollections reveal their love of the Favorit brand. Following the wild privatization after the fall of communism and dissolution of the company, it seemed that Favorit was condemned to slow oblivion. But never say never. A very well-built exposition, interesting with eye-catching labels even for laymen.
