Red Bull Ring a jeho současná podoba

Závodní okruh Red Bull Ring leží ve Štýrsku, druhé největší spolkové zemi Rakouska. Původně se okruh postavený v roce 1969 jmenoval Österreichring. V roce 1996 došlo k modernizaci závodního areálu a od roku 2011 je centrem rakouského motosportu pod názvem Red Bull Ring.

V roce 2016 závodili ve Štýrsku jezdci seriálu Grand Prix poprvé od roku 1997. Panorama je s okolními vrcholy hor naprosto úžasná a celému závodnímu areálu dominuje, v jeho středu umístěná, osmnáctimetrová plastika Býka.

Letos už podruhé pojede MotoGP™ nové uspořádání trati Red Bull Ringu, které bylo představeno v březnu 2022. Jezdci světového šampionátu nově projíždět dvěma 90stupňovými zatáčkami (Münzer Chicane), které tvoří rychlou dvojitou zatáčku.

Tato varianta uspořádání vzešla jako ta nejlepší z celkem patnácti návrhů. Důvodem je rychlost ve druhé zatáčce, jenž se nyní výrazně sníží. Dráha je teď dlouhá 4348 metrů (původně 4318m), tedy o 30metrů delší.

Jak je trať Red Bull Ringu uspořádaná

Styria is home to one of the most modern race tracks in the world. The MotoGP World Championship has been held here again since 2016. The Red Bull Ring is characterized by a combination of fast straights and demanding corners.

Embedded in the natural scenery, the course has significant differences in altitude. The riders expect inclines up to 12 percent and declines up to 9.3 percent. There is an altitude difference of 65 meters between the highest and lowest points on the track.

T1 - Niki Lauda Turn

Turn 1 is where the most action can be seen, especially at the start of the race - to the delight of MotoGP fans on site.

For safety reasons, a right-left chicane was installed between T1 and T3. The layout still consists 10 turns (7 right and 3 left corners).

The Red Bull Ring stands for “Last Corner Battles”. Whoever comes ideally from turn 9 has good cards.

Počet kol je stanoven tak, aby celková délka závodu odpovídala pravidlům světového šampionátu a aby jezdci absolvovali dostatečnou vzdálenost v podmínkách, které odpovídají charakteru okruhu. Na Red Bull Ringu vychází při délce 4 348 metrů závod na 28 kol a přibližně 121,74 kilometru.

MopedGP von Österreich před závodem MotoGP

The third edition of the ‘MopedGP von Österreich’ will be held on Thursday 17th September 2026, in the week leading up to the GRAND PRIX OF AUSTRIA 2026. It presents a unique opportunity for aficionados to celebrate their passion for motorised two-wheelers on a lap of the Red Bull Ring, where the international motorbike elite will be battling for world championship points a couple of days later.

Members of the public are invited to bring along their own moped (maximum displacement of 50cc) and experience the race track from a different perspective. Participants will need to produce valid safety and emissions certification plus a driving licence for the class of vehicle and additionally be in possession of a valid MotoGP ticket (day or weekend ticket).

The focus will not be on speed or performance, but on honouring the deeply rooted national tradition of moped riding and, together with like-minded people, on getting in the mood for a typical Austrian racing weekend with plenty of red-white-red bunting on show.

In the previous years, hundreds of motorbike enthusiasts who demonstrated their passion for their faithful companions were accompanied on the race track by numerous world championship stars. As a fan of two-wheeler racing, it’s an occasion you won’t want to miss.
